I placed this Solar Panel side by side with another panel yesterday. This morning with a little bit of sunlight the other panel worked as though it had been charging all day. This panel didn't get any charge. The manual says to make sure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight without shade. It will work best when facing the sun. I set it up just that way. Perhaps where I live does not get enough light to make this work. The construction appears good. I just wish I could get it to work.
Using in our small backyard pond for a small fountain and to keep the water moving. Fairly straightforward to set up, although we could use a little more sun in the shady space. My teenage son was able to set it up himself, with a little help from Grandpa, and it's fun and soothing to listen to.
Works fine but was difficult to construct considering it came with no instructions and I had to use my phone to figure it out.

Doesn't stay on with out battery pack
As I was putting the pipes together for the water fall portion the piping cracked. It is very snug and did not slip easily together, now it leaks.
Appears to be a well made product, so far pleased overall. Works well, able to run water through a pump head and fountain simultaneously. The instructions could probably be improved regarding the connection of the fountain parts (specifically the placement of the diverter) but play with it and you'll figure it out.
This solar powered pump system is just what we were looking for. We have a small fountain/faux pond near the entrance to our property. It had fallen into disuse for several years. However, we decided to include it in a recent remodel of our home. It now looks great; however, we needed a pump system for the water.This system is very easy to install -- and even easier to use after installation. It has a very decent build quality that is economical (due to the solar power). This makes it a very functional fountain or small pond filter.It's a good size for our fountain. There isn't a lot of power produced; however, it is more than ample to work for our fountain/faux pond. So, I imagine that the higher-powered systems will work even better. As it is, this produces exactly the amount of power and filtration that we need -- with the added value of the spray. It's lovely!
Smaller than expected, functions well.
I ordered this solar water fountain with filter for my outdoor stock pond where I keep my duckweed to feed the fish. I've got quite a few filters for various water projects I'm working on, and this one was a pleasant surprise. There are two sponges for mechanical filtering, a bag of porous filter media, and media balls.The filterbox itself measures approximately 4.25" high x 6.5" wide x 12.5" long. The filter box only has slots for water entry on the top of the box - which will leave the base of the pond without water movement.The water pump itself has nothing special about it going on other than the ability to adjust the water output. Granted, your water output will vary greatly depending if it's sunny out, cloudy, or shade moves over your solar panel.
