No real complaints on the pump. Does exactly what I need at a decent price. Once submerged in the sink, you can barely tell it's on except for seeing the water flowing. Overall works well.

I love water features and have several small pumps to generate water flow in my various fountains. These pumps are typically small and relatively inexpensive and only last a few seasons. I have experience with several models and can tell you this pump checks all the boxes. My pumps have failed for two reasons - I run them dry or they become clogged leading to motor failure or they have water infusion which trips your GFCI outlet. This pump has an easy to disassemble and clean impeller and debris shield. It also used an insulated, heavy duty cord which gives a more durable impression if not actual higher quality product. Several other small pumps use a cord that looks like an extension cord cable. The water flow seems strong and every bit the rated 160 GPH. Time will tell as to longevity but I am very impressed so far with this pump.

Last year I order a pump that was just big enough to run the fountain. Unfortunately, debris slowed the flow too much even when it was at maximum volume. Order this one with twice the stated GPH, which after testing I believe may understate the actual flow rate of the pump.

The pump arrived unscathed and in good working order. The 4 suction cup feet stay on unlike others I have had, it is quiet, seems a little heavier than others of this capacity I have had in the past, comes with two hose adapters, and the flow control has a greater travel range that other pumps; however, on the lowest flow setting other pumps restrict the flow more than this one does (I have a small fountain when the flow control will stop the water flow.). I would not want the blue color in an aquarium, but in a fountain, it makes no difference what the color is.

To be seen over the summer is how well the debris screen works and how it survives being run dry on occasion. Currently with a tank of nice clean water it is working well. This fountain only runs 6 hours a day during the warmer months, so I expect the pump to last several years----unless I let it run dry.

Good little pump, works well and good quality

I purchased this to replace a pump in my patio water feature that was just too weak to move as much water as I wanted it to. That pump did not seem to push as much volume as it was advertised to. However, I needed a relatively small pump to fit inside the basin. This pump pushes just the right amount of water for me given its compact size. The volume rating seems accurate. I hear no sound at all from the pump, however there is water splashing which could mask some. A great value at this price point.
Two days into it, and so far so good. I hope it lasts.
