P3403 40W 480GPH Solar Pond Filter Fountain

I placed this Solar Panel side by side with another panel yesterday. This morning with a little bit of sunlight the other panel worked as though it had been charging all day. This panel didn't get any charge. The manual says to make sure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight without shade. It will work best when facing the sun. I set it up just that way. Perhaps where I live does not get enough light to make this work. The construction appears good. I just wish I could get it to work.

Works great for our little pond. Easy to set up and is very well made. As all solar powered items, doesn’t really work well in cloudy weather, but as long as there is some sun it still works, just not as powerful. Great product, very happy!

This solar pump is well made and uses quality materials. I did a test run on it and the solar panel works great, as does the pump. However, the ad never stated the pump flow/filter capacity. Looking at the pump output, this is probably meant for a small above ground pond, perhaps 300 gallons. I am going to give it a try on my in ground pond, but I am unsure if the capacity is enough, even with the pump running all throughout the day.The pump itself is very quiet, but unfortunately, it only works with full sunlight. I hoped it had a battery backup that could charge and run in the dark hours, but it does not. However, I can probably run a backup filter in the evening.

Using in our small backyard pond for a small fountain and to keep the water moving. Fairly straightforward to set up, although we could use a little more sun in the shady space. My teenage son was able to set it up himself, with a little help from Grandpa, and it's fun and soothing to listen to.

Very easy to assemble. After running for one day decided I needed a battery back-up as I think I need more aeration for the goldfish I'm going to put in the pond.I don't know what the dial is for on the front of the 30W pump. This was probably a return as it was packed very well but not in the original box. There was a 16 foot green shoelace type string in the box.,No mention of the pump dial or the string in the directions.

Not only is the product excellent, but customer support is even better. After using the product for about a month, my backyard squirrels decided to chew the wire on the solar panel. I was able to fix it with new hire and hot glue, but the best part is the customer support. They offered to send me a brand new solar panel to replace the squirrel damage. That is above and beyond customer service. I thank you and my squirrels thank you. :)

More detailed instructions are needed. It took two intelligent adults to figure the assembly out with the limited instructions provided. This kit is for small water features. This kit works and will be fine, just takes patience to figure out what all the various parts are for and where they should go.

Works fine but was difficult to construct considering it came with no instructions and I had to use my phone to figure it out.
