Work well now

One of my black hoses cracked the entire length when I tried to disconnect it from the pump. This is when I was setting it up for the first time. Extremely frustrating and disappointing! The kit does not have enough black extension hoses to replace the broken one and I’m unable to use the hose to adjust the amount of water flowing through the nozzles. It doesn’t matter how I adjust the nozzle to give it the “apple or volcano” affect, it’s never as full as the pictures show. I was so excited when I ordered this kit, but it did not work as the information on the website said. Disappointed with kit.

Love this. I have some large pots and in the past was able to grow lotus in them, despite living in the desert, so I like the idea of having a fountain. This set is nice, with multiple tops, and a really big solar panel. Unfortunately this is my widest pot, yet the head you see in the picture is the only one I can use, because the others spray so far up that the pot is emptied fully within an hour. There is a pressure/power control, but I can’t see any difference between low and high. This is why I took off 1 ⭐️. Also from looking at the listing pics, and my unit, the handle to control power/pressure is wide at one end and narrow at the other. Fine, but on amazon it looks like the end that you’re supposed to turn from high to low, is the narrow end, but on my unit the WIDE end of that handle is up where the high to low marker is, and the narrow end is the other end. I suspect that if it wasn’t put together wrong, then at some point someone spun the handle all the way around (obviously not paying attention) and broke this element. It still has a right/left stopping point, so I can’t see how, and I think it was just assembled wrong. Regardless, no matter which way I spin it, it stays the same pressure. This rounded/ball fountain head is the one which works best on my 18-24 inch wide pot. It also works consistently when the sun is on the panel - slows down or stops when sun goes behind a cloud, and does NOT build up a charge/power to run on it’s own when the light dims. I thought these types of panels were supposed to have a battery being charged as the panel is in the sun, but with this one the second there’s no sun (even waving my hand in front of it) there’s also no flow. I found that odd. Let the panel stay out all day attached to nothing, just to see if it would build up a reserve, but it didn’t.

I bought one to check it out and I then bought 2 more. The hummingbirds have been drinking water and taking baths in the gentle fountain. The water have a lovely sound. I couldn’t be happier!
Easy to set up. I also purchased the battery so the fountain can continue once the sun goes down. Great product!

I have purchased several fountains. This is the best thus far. Powerful, nice bird fountain and other wildlife enjoy it, especially when there's been no rain.

Need to order battery backup. Doesn’t work as well as a lower wattage one previously ordered. Ordered this one due to its adjustment ability.

Great product for the price. Works well in our stock water/ water feature.

This review is for the POPOSOAP 10W Solar Water Fountain Pump.I have to say this is a hard one for me to review and why I’ve used it for 3 weeks before reviewing. When I first installed it, I was extremely disappointed. Especially for the price. There is no side to side adjustment of the mount (only vertical). So to test it, I had to hold it and point it at the sun.You see, this only works with 100% full blast sun on the entire solar panel. Hint of a wisp of a cloud? No. Sun at to much of an angle? No. I get about 3 hours of full blast sun on this before it’s too low in the sky to continue. And if it’s not extremely sunny, it just spits. So had I reviewed it then, I’d have given it 2 stars.However, while I’ve been searching for a new solar fountain to replace it with, I’ve discovered this is pretty much the limit for all of them. So since it’s a know issue with solar fountains, I’ve accepted this. The booklet recommends adding a battery. However, I could not find the appropriate sized battery in their store and I’m uncertain how much of a difference it would make. Would it make it run longer? By how much? Would it just eliminate the spitting on grey days? Also, this was already pretty expensive.I’m very happy with the apple shape nozzle. In full sun, I absolutely love this. However, that’s sadly not a lot.I can say that this has been in my birdbath for 3 weeks and I have not had any trouble with the filters. I have covered the pump in white stone chips to disguise it.If it weren’t over $50, I’d rate this higher. However, as it is, I have to say I wouldn’t recommend it. There are many more affordable fountains with smaller solar panels that work just as well.

This little pump does work. The problem I have is with the solar panel. It's cheap as they come IMO. Reason? If a shadow even slightly gets on the panel the pump will stop working. It must at all times be fully exposed to full and direct sunlight. Here's an example - I can cover a small corner portion of the panel, leaving 90% exposed to direct sunlight. The pump will stop!!! therefore and becasue the solar panel is cheap/weak, I can't recommend it.

I'm using this as dual purpose and water circulation for my bird bath with a splitter. The solar panel is enough to keep it running consistently throughout the day, with enough pressure to have the fountain running in one, and a small push of water in another.There are a number of tips for changing the spray pattern and an extension, with with my small bird bath was too tall so I'm just using one of the spray tips without it.The pump is small, just a couple inches wide and maybe 3 inches long, so it will fit in small areas. The cord from the panel to the pump is plenty long enough you can position it nearby and to collect the most sun possible. On cloudy days the output suffers but thats expected. Keep in mind there isn't a battery so it will only work when the sun is out.Perfect for what I need though!

In the morning it was strong but by the afternoon the motor lost power. I like the large panel which is above the trellis.Score key:⭐️ 1 star= Dissappointed. I don't recommend it at all, poor quality, or it does not reflect the advertising.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars = Has some reedeeming quality.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars = It's passable. Might not have bothered.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars = Mostly Satisified.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars = Entirely Satisfied. Recommend.

This is handy for installing where there is no power. That said, it does not pump a lot of water. We thought it would be good for a 2’ tall zen fountain that did not need a lot of high-pressure action…but it proved too anemic for the job.I think it’s best use would be be for a birdbath or similar in the far reaches of your yard, where you don’t need a lot of flow, and there is no electricity nearby. Otherwise, I’d steer you toward a plug-in pump for most applications.

This ended up going into a new bird bath that I bought to put it in. I originally thought I would use it in our 2-tier water fountain. Through no fault of the manufacturer's, I was going to have to put a lot of work into plugging the hole in the top section because the cord on this isn't as wide in diameter as the one I used to have in there.One thing I've found over time with any of these is I need to regularly add more water. The slightest breeze blows the spray from this out of the bowl. It would be great to have an area of my yard that was sheltered from the wind but that is probably not going to happen. It does put out a good amount of spray. The key is to find a spot where the solar panel gets enough sun during the day. I've moved it a few times until I finally found the right spot for it and now it's working great.

I've tried out several iterations of solar fans and fountains, and am very pleased with the quality of this one.Solar panel is huge, so you're looking at full pump action, not just a trickle.Easy to set up -- you could set it up five mojitos in and be fine.I love that it no longer limits my placement on water features. As long as you have natural light available, you're going to have solar pump action.Pump works well and just as a reminder, be sure your water feature stays clean - that's the first point of issue for any fountain pump you get. Be sure to give it a good cleaning on the regular, as all sorts of outdoorsy stuffs can find their way in and you'd better believe they're going to make a beeline for your pump intake.Nice spray pattern, too. We're using this outside as a nice white noise detraction from the chaos of the neighborhood, and turns out when the dog naps, it can become something of a fly through bird shower, so hopefully Mother Nature smiles on us for our service here.Good investment, and combines everything I've liked about all past iterations into one well-built product! Total win!
